Charles "Chuck" Haime

Charles Haime, 70, of Rockford passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2019. Born June 10, 1948, the son of Walter and Marilyn Haime. Charles was a loving husband to Lyuba Haime, father of Rick, Henry and Walter Haime and grandfather of 8 grandchildren to whom he provided guidance and strength. He was also known as pops, papa chunk and Chuck to those who loved him. As a father, he was both tough and kind. He always had a way with words (goomba). Chuck was a master fisherman with an extensive collection of fishing lures. He was a proud Marine and veteran who fought for our country in Vietnam. He retired from his position as a supervisor at the U. S. Post Office after 25 years of service. He was a selfless man who always put others first, leaving a legacy of love. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Chuck is also survived by his siblings, Marlyn (Don) Scroggin, Mark (Cathy) Haime, Ron (Glenda) Haime and Bill (Darcy) Haime. Preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Marilyn.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Road.
