Charles James Bryden, 77, of Rockford, passed away on Sunday January 29, 2012 in OSF St Anthony Medical Center.nbsp; Jim was born June 9, 1934 in Rockford; the son of Charles and Wilda Bryden.nbsp; He married Beverly Lindell in Rockford on January 5, 1957.nbsp; He worked for Barber Colman for 47 years, retiring in 1997.nbsp; Jim also served for his country in the Marine Corp.nbsp; Member of Moose Club.nbsp; He was an avid Cub fan organizing the Chicago Cubs Caravan for over 25 years benefiting local youth organizations. Jim also enjoyed travelling with his family, attending school/sport activities of his grandkids and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly; sons, Brent (Jill) of Winnebago, Troy (Julie) of Machesney Park and Chad of Rockford; grandchildren, Kyle, Bryce, Jacob and Jenna; brother, Bob (Sandy) of Rockford and sister, Glenda (Therr) Hartje of Cherry Valley; several nieces and nephews and beloved dog, Beemer.nbsp; Predeceased by his parents; brothers, Rod Hoffman, Joe Bryden and Michael Bryden and sister, Judith Bryden.

Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am Friday February 3, 2012 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford. Burial of cremated remains in Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery.nbsp;Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5:00pm8:00pm at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel and will continue from 10:00am until service time Friday at the Funeral Home.nbsp; In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a memorial to be established.nbsp;
