Charles L. Jenner

Charles "Chuck" L. Jenner, 74, of Rockford, IL, passed away on Oct. 22, 2022, peacefully in his home.


Chuck was born on Dec. 1, 1947, to Karl and Dorothy Jenner of Walnut IL. After graduating from high school in 1966 he joined the US Navy. He served on the USS Forrestal during the Vietnam War. After serving 4 years in the US Navy, he attended Sauk Valley College. While in college Chuck also began serving as a volunteer fireman and served as a EMT for the Walnut IL fire department. After college, Chuck worked for United Parcel Service for about 30 years before his retirement. He also was a Realtor in the Rockford area for several years.


In 1967 Chuck started dating the love of his life Sue Marlene Durham. They married on July 7th, 1968. Chuck and Sue went on to have 4 children, Aniessa, Kyle, Kraig and Tyler. Chuck and Sue were happily married for over 54 years.


Chuck was preceded in death by his father Karl Jenner, his mother Dorothy Jenner, and his brother Terry Jenner. Chuck is survived by his loving wife Sue Jenner, Children; Aniessa Burden, Kyle Jenner, Kraig Jenner, and Tyler (Erika) Jenner, as well as Grandchildren Brett (Jacquelynn) O'Hern, Brittney (Michael ) O'Hern, Bryan (Sunny) O'Hern, Alessandra Jenner, Sammi Burden, and Kami Jenner, Great grandchildren; Phoenix O'Hern, Baby O'Hern and Millie Hernandez. Also survived by his sister, Barbara" Babs" Schuetz


Chuck had a strong love and passion for his Family. He was the most beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. His love for his family was absolute and without condition. Chuck supported everyone in his family with all his will, nothing was more important. Chuck had a strong love for the Chicago Bears football and rarely missed watching a game. Chuck also enjoyed golf, fishing, and the Chicago Cubs.
