Chester Zeppieri

Chester Zeppieri, 73, of Rockford passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on December 25, 2015. Chester was born on May 11, 1942 in Rockford, son of Chester & Mary (Domino) Zeppieri. Chester graduated from St. Thomas High School in 1960. He and his wife Josephine (Cicero) were married in Rockford on February 12, 1966. He moved to Chicago in 1965 and was a hair salon business owner in the suburbs for more than 40 years. He was a proud and active member of Cosmetologists Chicago and Cosmetologists Illinois for more than 50 years and served terms as President of both professional associations. Chester is survived by his wife, Josephine Zeppieri; son, Peter Zeppieri (Rolling Meadows); and daughter, Mary Zeppieri (Roselle) (Fred Johnson). His close family includes his loving sisters-in law Therese (Donald) Kueng and Fran Nelson, and his niece Lisa Kueng (Tony Green). He is predeceased by his parents, Chester & Mary Zeppieri, sister, Emma Zeppieri, in-laws, Peter & Angelina Cicero, and his special grand-dog Bailey. Chester lived his life to the fullest as a loving and devoted son, brother,husband, father, son-in-law, brother-in law, friend, uncle, and special cousin to countless family members. Chester will be most remembered for his kindness, care and generosity to all individuals that he knew. He had a superb way of putting smiles on faces around him with his affability and sense of humor. The family would like to thank his caregivers Carol, Jane, and Jeremy. Funeral mass at 11 AM on Thursday, December 31, 2015 in Saint Anthony of Padua Church 1010 Ferguson St., Rockford, IL. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until time of service in the church.
