Cleo S Green

Cleo Sylvester Green, 101, of Rockford went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, September 11, 2019. He was born May 16, 1918 to the late Robert and Addie Green. Cleo served our country in the United States Navy during World War II before marrying the love of his life Lola. For Cleo, family always came first he was straight forward, strong and had a dominant personality. Cleo love to draw being artistic was his passion.
He is survived by his wife Lola Green; children, Peautray Green, Yvette (Albert Jr) Bailey; grandchildren, Peautray Jr, LaCresha, India, Alazey, Arahe, Tianna (David), Keshawn, and Tyler; and a host of great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Cleo was a devoted husband, father and friend to all, and he will be greatly missed.
Graveside service will be held 12:30 p.m., Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421. Arrangements by Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL 61108.
