Clifford "Cliff" P. Erb

Clifford “Cliff” P. Erb, 90, Rockford, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2022. He was born in Rockford, Illinois on January 14, 1932, son to Peter and Marion (Joyce) Erb. Cliff married Patricia “Pat” Prentice at St. James Catholic Church on June 25, 1955. His working career consisted of construction and later greens keeping for the Ledges Golf Course in Roscoe. He was an avid golfer himself and enjoyed playing at the Ledges, Macktown and Atwood Golf Courses. He was a parishioner at St. Bernadette Catholic Church and a member of the Venetian Club where he enjoyed spending time with friends.

He is survived by his children Denise (Gregory) George and Michael (Paige) Erb; his grandchildren Daniel and Megan George and Ronan Erb; sister Joyce Aramovich; numerous nieces and nephews, and sister-in-law Diane (Ben) Morgan. He is predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Pat; his parents and brother-in-law, Ferd Aramovich. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Wesley Willows, Cherryvale Place and Northern Illinois Hospice for the care and compassion that they showed to Cliff.

A Memorial Visitation will take place on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 2400 Bell Ave, Rockford, Illinois, 61103. Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial private to the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Northern Illinois Hospice or to the family.
