Clifford L. "Cliff" Oslund

Clifford L. “Cliff” Oslund, 79, Rockford, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. He was born August 24, 1936, in Rockford, the son of Forest and Matilda (Scott) Oslund. Cliff served in the Marine Corps Reserves for 6 years. He married Sandra “Sandy” Johnson in Rockford on June 29, 1957. Cliff was employed at Sundstrand Machine Tool for over 30 years. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Cliff enjoyed fishing and camping at Ward’s Resort in Balsam Lake, WI for many years. He was an avid golfer and bowler but most of all he loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the love of his life, Sandy.
Survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Sandy, his daughter, Diana (Tim) Branney and his son, Michael (Wanda) Oslund both of Rockford; his grandchildren, Sara (Adam) Gruszczynski, Tanya (Andrew) Pirrello, Stacy (Nicholas) McClintock, and Eric (Courtney) Oslund; his great-grandchildren, Samantha, Makenzie, Liam, Emily, Leah, Olivia, Molly, and Taegan; his sisters, Sharon Denney and Becky (John) Bader; his brother, Lenny Oslund; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; his sisters, Linda, Pat, and Cindy; his brother, Forest “Mick”.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday February 22, 2016, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 4620 20th St. with Reverend Wanda McNeill officiating. Burial in Arlington Memorial Park. Visitation from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 21, 2016, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S.
