Coleen (Clifford) Brege, 51, of Rockford, passed away suddenly and peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, April 2, 2009. Born December 3, 1957 in Saranac Lake, New York; to Cornelius and Bernice Clifford. Married Mark Brege in Ireland on July 4, 2003. Coleen was a loving mother and wife, a kind-hearted friend with a positive and loving soul. She embraced life and was always there for others with a listening ear. She was a supportive mother who loved her girls. Coleen loved to golf and bowl with her husband, Mark; she enjoyed traveling, playing games and loved to laugh with family and friends. Coleen dedicated her entire adult life to not only being healthy herself but inspiring others to do the same. She was an amazing Weight Watchers leader who used her ""diva"" theme to help others get healthy and stay healthy. She started her own non-profit organization, Viva la Diva, and held inspirational weight-loss meetings to help others who could not afford to pay. Coleen is survived by her husband, Mark; daughters, Jessica (Derek) and Jena; father, Cornelius (Geraldine) Clifford; sister, Robin (Robert Brown) Clifford; former husband, Jim Pierman; father and mother-in-law, Arch and Deanna Brege; sisters-in-law, Laura (Jim) Armantrout, Lisa (Rob) Casper and Lynn (Frank) Talaska; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her daughter, Kelly Elizabeth; mother, Bernice and brother, Frank. A memorial gathering will be held from 1:00-3:00p.m. on Sunday, April 5, 2009 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, IL 61108. A visitation will also be held on Friday, April 10, 2009 from 3:00-8:00pm at Keck-Coleman Funeral Home, 1500 Waterford Parkway, St. John""s, Michigan with a memorial service also to be held at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at Keck-Coleman Funeral Home.
