Colleen J. Glavin

Colleen J. Glavin, 87, of Rockford died Friday, July 28, 2017 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Born September 17, 1929 in Rockford the daughter of Casper H. and Bernice (Lynch) Brady. Married her loving husband Paul E. Glavin and together had four children. Colleen was a faithful member of St. Rita’s Catholic Church, the Rockford Historical Society, and the Irish Marching Society. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to make people laugh and laugh with them. Colleen was also a lover of children and animals, especially dogs. She was a kind and caring women who loved her family very much, she will be missed greatly.
Survivors include her children, Mary (David Dosedel) Glavin of Minnesota, Matt (Kristin) Glavin of Evanston, Patty Moore of Roscoe and Peggy (Cubby) O’Brien of Wisconsin; grandchildren, Claire, Isabelle and Cameron Glavin; Bree (Tony) Kusz, Dan Moore, Riley and Jack O’Brien; brother, Bob (Dorothy) Brady of Rockford, sister-in-law, Mary Brady of Rockford, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2005 and brother, Don Brady.
Funeral Mass Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at 1 p.m. at St. Rita Catholic Church with visitation from 12:00 p.m. until time of Mass. Private family burial will follow.
