Daniel E. Steeves

Daniel E. Steeves, 65, of Rockford, IL, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2019.

Dan was born in Chicago, IL on November 20, 1953, son of Austin and Anna (Mayberry) Steeves. He attended T.F. North High School in Calumet City, IL and was a Union Commercial Carpenter in Chicago for over 30 years. Dan enjoyed golfing, swimming, and was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears and Cubs throughout his life. He will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Those left to honor Dan’s memory include his siblings, David (Ok Kyong) Steeves of Elgin, IL, Debra (Jeff) Mosher of Plainfield, IN, Denise (Michael) Childers of Elgin, IL and Austin (Alicia) Steeves of Marion, TX; 4 nieces and 5 nephews. He is predeceased by his parents and nephew, Davey.

Cremation rites will be accorded. A memorial visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday August 20, 2019 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Muford Rd. Rockford, IL 61108. Memorial contributions may be directed to Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary, Inc. 111 N. 1st Street Rockford, IL 61107.
