Daniel S. Branecki

Daniel S. Branecki, 68 of Rockton, IL, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 18, 2020. He was born in Berwyn, IL on October 17, 1951 to Stanley and Estelle (Strzelczyk) Branecki.
Daniel was a graduate of St. Joseph High School in Westchester, IL and Morton College in Cicero, IL. He married the woman he adored for 42 years on December 4th, 1977. He was a devout Catholic and a wonderful, thoughtful, generous man who loved his family, friends and his dogs. Dan was a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He was a sentimental man who found great comfort in tradition, especially celebrating holidays and birthdays with his family. Dan enjoyed taking care of his vegetable garden and his yard. He was an exceptional cook and loved to share his meals with others. Dan was an avid story teller. One of the greatest joys he had was in making the people around him laugh and smile. He always made time in his busy life to have fun, be goofy and tease the ones he loved. He was also an exercising enthusiast for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sandi; daughters, Jessica (Brian) Loofboro and Cassie (Mike Disciacca) Branecki; grand-children, Grace, Emery and Logan; sister-in-law, Marge Branecki; special friends, the Marella family, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be greatly missed by family, friends, and all those who knew him.
He was preceded in death by parents and brother, James Branecki.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, September 24, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Ave. Loves Park. A walk through visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Masks are required and please practice social distancing.
