David Joseph Cascio

David Joseph Cascio, 67, of Beaufort, SC, formerly of Rockford, passed away September 18, 2018 in Beaufort, SC. Born June 14, 1951 in Rockford; he was the son of Peter J. and Mary D. (Bonavia) Cascio. He married Barbara Ann Dinges April 18, 1970 in Freeport, IL.
He retired to Beaufort SC in 2010 after 30 plus years of emplyment at Ingersoll Milling Co. (production control) & Ingersoll Cutting Tool. He was a member of the Venetian Club.
Passionate sports fan, especially concerning the Green Bay Packers and New York Yankees; David was enthusiastic about politics and current events. He loved to golf, bowled in many leagues over the years, and played bocce (All Day Dave). Dave especially proud of his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 50 years Barbara Cascio; children, Michael J. (Mary J.) Cascio, Mary Deanna (Todd) Rieger, and Matthew P. (Kristina) Cascio; as well as his grandchildren, Stephanie, Matthew, Emily (Miguel) Rangel, Dominic, Anthony, Maxwell, and Lance; his brother, Michael Calvin (Heidi) Cascio and niece, Marissa Varela.
Predeceased by his parents and step-brothers Dale and David Greer.
Funeral mass 10 a.m. Saturday, September 22, 2018 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 2400 Bell Avenue, Rockford. Visitation 9 a.m. until time of service at the church.
