David Michael Boge

David M. Boge, 51, of Caledonia, passed away suddenly after having a heart attack on Saturday, December 18, 2021. He was born May 16, 1970 in Belvidere to Ronald Boge and Sue Esser. He attended Jefferson High School. He then earned his associates degree from NIU.
David worked hard in the restaurant industry which eventually lead to the success of his three businesses. His dedication of hard work allowed him and Billy Ni to become owners of District, Onyx, and Stock Yard Bar and Grill here locally. He favored the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs. He had a passion for golf and held a membership at Mauh Nah Tee See Country Club. David greatly enjoyed the outdoors such as hiking, fishing and camping. Most of all he loved spending time with his son, Maddon, and significant other, Jamaiya, making memories with their dogs, Tessa and Winter. He loved going on adventures in Rock Cut State Park, trips to Myrtle Beach and dinners at Franchesco’s with his family.
Survivors include his son, Maddon; mother, Sue Esser; special companion and soulmate, Jamaiya Williams; siblings, Terry (Lynne) Boge and Sabrina (Edward) Barnas; nieces and nephews, Nicholas, Rachel, Madeline and Arlo; special friends, Fraser, Jackson, T Bone, Curry and many other friends. Predeceased by father, Ron Boge and stepfather, Peter Esser.
Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford. Mask are required for those in attendance. Memorial service will be 11 am Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Franchesco’s Ristorante, 7128 Spring Creek Rd., Rockford, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Sue Esser for a Trust to be established for his son.
