Dennis R. Murray

Dennis R. Murray, 60, of Rockford passed away November 19, 2011 in his home with his daughter by his side from a courageous battle with diabetes. Born February 25, 1951 in San Jose, CA, the son of Robert E. Murray and Betty M. Grose. Dennis lived in Rockford for more than 30 years, after moving here from California in the 70s. He was a machinist at Estwing Manufacturing and retired in 2002. Dennis was a kidney transplant recipient and a fan of the Green Bay Packers, the Beatles and Harley Davidson. He also enjoyed Ham Radio; his call name was N9KEI. The Family would like to give a special thanks to Heartland Hospice and care giver, Demetri. Survived by his loving daughter, Jennifer Murray; mother, Betty and dog, Snortamer. Predeceased by his father, sister, Kathy Collins and former wife, Linda Murray. Memorial gathering will be Tuesday, November 29 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave, Rockford, 61103.
