Loving wife, daughter, mother and grandmother

Rockford'Diane Stout, 60, of Rockford died unexpectantly at 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 18, 2013 at Rockford Memorial Hospital. Born October 29, 1952 in Des Moines, IA to Roland 'Steb' & Sheila (Ross) Stebbins. Diane enjoyed summers at Castle Rock Lake, boating and soaking up the sun. She loved trips to Mexico and reading stories to her grandchildren. Diane was employed as the Executive Director of Circles of Learning. She was an active member of Harlem Community Center Board, the United Way Board and Illinois Action for Children. Diane was staunch supporter for Early Childhood Education and an advocate for children and their families throughout Rockford and the State of Illinois. She was a leader in her professional community who will truly be missed.

Survivors include her husband, Charles; mother, Sheila; daughter, Kelli (Pete) Girardin; step daughter, Kori (Aaron) Hoffman; step sons, Jason (Aly) Stout and Kyle Stout; grandchildren, Olivia, John Ross, Hallie and Mallorie; sister-in-law, Pattie Stebbins; niece, Jenna; nephew, Carter; great friend, Debbie Masingill and countless other close friends and her family at Circles of Learning. Predeceased by her father, Roland and brothers, Scott and Brian Stebbins.

Memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. on March 23, 2013 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with Reverend Bobby Sheets officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory (Mulford Chapel). Memorials may be made to the family to be donated to an organization at a later date.
