Diane Zimmanck

Diane L. Zimmanck, 74, Loves Park, passed away peacefully Monday, March 25, 2013, in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 30, 1938, in Chicago, the daughter of Robert and Anita (Kasmar) Martin. Diane married Richard Zimmanck in Chicago on November 4, 1961. She spent most of her life in the Chicago area, then moving to Olney, and retired to Loves Park 8 years ago. She is a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. Diane volunteered at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. She was known for her wit and great sense of humor. Survived by her husband, Richard,of Loves Park; her daughters, Janet (Alan) Lopez of Boulder, Colorado and Gail (Ron) Henson of Bedford, Indiana; her 3 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; her brother, Dennis (Elizabeth”Toots”) Martin of Buffalo Grove; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill and Chris Zimmanck of Carol Stream; many nieces and nephews. Diane’s family would like to thank Dr. Mete Korkmaz and his staff at the OSF Cancer Center and Heartland Hospice for their kind and compassionate care. Memorial services will be at 11:00 am, Friday, April 5, 2013, in St. Mark Lutheran Church, 675 N. Mulford Rd. with Reverend Dr. Mark Hagen officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church or Heartland Hospice, 6885 Vistagreen Way, Rockford, 61107. Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S.
