Dianna Lynn Miani

Dianna Lynn Miani, 78, of Rockford, passed on May 10, 2023. She was born in Chicago, IL, on February 12, 1945, the daughter of Ewald and Marjorie (Lewis) Hoffmann. She earned her Associate Degree from Moraine Valley Community College in Palos Hills, IL. Dianna married the love of her life, Anthony Miani on July 25, 1961, in Chicago. Tony preceded her in death on July 22, 1993. She was a longtime member of the United Church of Christ and a member of the Garden Prairie United Church in Garden Prairie, IL. She cherished her time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed shopping, movies and going out to lunch with her family. She was a very strong and humble woman and a wonderful and caring mother and grandmother.

She is survived by daughters, Dina (Brad) Lauman and Lynn (Tony) Moczynski; grandchildren, James, Anthony, and Anna; brother, James (Susan) Davis; sister-in-law, Gloria Hoffmann; nieces, Jennifer Davis and Stacy Hoffmann; special cousins, Judy Blunier, Ben Beer, Jeanette Wagner, Tom Bartel, and Loys Ann Ronchetto, and many others. She is predeceased by her parents; husband, Tony; sister, Aline Davis; brother, Gus Hoffmann; and stepfather, James Davis.

A Public Visitation will be on Saturday, May 20, 2023, from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at Garden Prairie United Church of Christ, 10990 US 20 Garden Prairie, IL 61038. A Celebration of Life service will follow the visitation starting at 10:30 a.m. The Reverend Kathy Lawes will officiate and Ron Holm will provide the musical ministry. Burial will be in Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to be established to help teenage mothers.
