Dmitriy Baryshnikov

On Sunday, January 14, 2018, Dmitriy Baryshnikov passed away unexpectedly in Swedish American Hospital at the age of 54.
Dmitriy was born on May 11, 1963 in Nizhny Tagil, Russia, to parents Vladimir Baryshnikov and Lidiya Baryshnikova. Dmitriy moved to Moscow, Russia, to study at the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute, where he met his wife Natalya Olifirova Baryshnikova, and they were married on January 30, 1986. In 1998, Dmitriy, together with his wife and children, Anna and Oleg, moved to the United States. He has since worked as a Principal Engineer for Woodward, Inc. in Rockford.

Dmitriy was an energetic, motivated and talented person, always looking to learn or build something new. He was a kind, loving, caring and generous person who would go out of his way for his family and friends. Dmitriy will be deeply missed by all.
Dmitriy is survived by his wife, Natalya; daughter, Anna (Malte) Baryshnikova; son, Oleg (Courtney) Baryashnikov; grandchildren, Emmeline Obbel Forsberg and Elena Baryshnikova; mother, Lidiya Baryshnikova; brother, Evgeniy Baryshnikov. Dmitriy was predeceased by his father, Vladimir.
A time of visitation will be held on Friday, January 19, 2018 from 4-6 p.m. in Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd.
