Dolores E. Timm

June 24, 1936 — October 9, 2019

Dolores "Lori" Evelyn Timm, 83, passed away peacefully Wednesday October 9, surrounded by her loving family. She courageously fought a hard battle the past many years of health struggles to stay as long as she could on earth with her dear family. Her strength and determination to rise above the challenges that faced her will always be appreciated and lovingly remembered. Born June 24, 1936 in Rockford to Frank M. and Katherine (Molitor) James. Graduated from Muldoon High School. Lori was married to her high school sweetheart and love of her life, John T. Timm for 57 years. They raised 8 children who attended St. Bernadette grade school and Boylan High School in Rockford, IL. Lori worked many years for the Rockford and Winnebago School Districts as a paraprofessional educator working with children and giving back to her community. Later in life, Lori and her husband relocated to Byron, Illinois where they built their dream house and were members of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Lori loved being surrounded by family and friends. Loved ones will always remember her hosting and cooking meals for large celebrations and decorating for the holidays. She especially loved spending quality time and making memories with her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as they lit up her life. Lori always had a very creative spirit. She loved dressing up for any special occasion to celebrate special moments in life and enjoyed attending craft fairs throughout Illinois and Wisconsin.

Survived by children, Michael (Kathy), Patrick (Betsy), John (Linda), Mary (Shannon) Steffey, Dana (Brenda), Philip (Patty), Daniel (Carolyn), and Kristina (Joseph) Cascio; niece, Connie (Tom) Murphy, who was considered another daughter; supportive and loving brother in law, Bill (Barb) Timm and niece, Nina. Lori was very proud of her 19 grandchildren, Matthew (Alison), Justin (Angela), Andrew (Sara), Kathleen (Ben), Bryan (Amy), Sarah (Brett), Lauren (Mike), Ashley (Jake), Jennifer (Jared), Danielle (Greg), Nikki (James), John, Margaret (Zac), Mackenzie, Abigail, Mikayla, Grace, Ethan, and Marisa, who loved and will miss their Grandma Timm dearly. Also survived by her 10 great-grandchildren; Grady, Kellan, Ben, Maddie, Charlie, Taylor, Jack, Tanner, Henry and Asher. Predeceased by loving husband, John T. Timm; parents, Frank & Katherine (Molitar) James; dear friends from Rockford and other family members.
