Dolores M. Aylward, 83 Rockford-Dolores M. Aylward, 83 of Rockford died Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Born April 14, 1927 in Bridgeport, PA to Raymond and Agnes Genther. Member of the Cathedral of St. Peter and St. Anne Society. Interior Decorator for Carpet Line and Viking Shade Company for many years. Volunteered for the River Bluff auxiliary and gift shop for over 25 years and most recently volunteered at the Discovery Center. Dolores loved traveling, reading and her volunteer work. Survivors; Children, Michael (Karen Garrett) O'Donnell, Marybeth (Alan) Gray; Step-children; Linda (Steve) Welle, Kathy (Philip) Harnden and Richard (Cindy) Aylward; Sister, Joyce (Tom) Brozska; Grandchildren; Shaun O'Donnell, Kelly (Bruce) Davis, Lindsey (Josh) Swenson, Kevin O'Donnell and Margaret O'Donnell; Step-grandchildren; Megan Welle, Kevin Welle, Kari Aylward, Caitlin Harnden, Emily Harnden and John Harnden. Great-Grandchildren Connor Shine and Savannah O'Donnell. Numerous Nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by parents, husband Jack, brothers, Robert Genther, Charles Genther, Donald Genther and John Genther; Sister Betty O'Connell. Special Thank You to her in home care givers Madeline, Emily, Sarah and Kari for their constant concern. Funeral Mass 10 am Friday, December 10, 2010 at the Cathedral of St. Peter with Rev. Arogyaswamy Lakkineni officiating. Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, December 9, 2010 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory (Riverside Chapel). 3910 N. Rockton Avenue. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the River Bluff Auxiliary.
