Rockford - Dolores M (Warchol) Krueger, 76, of Rockford (formerly of Palatine) passed away the morning of December 25th, at home.nbsp; Born December 6th, 1934 in Chicago; the daughter of George and Mary (Kulik) Warchol.nbsp; She graduated in 1953 from Gage Park High School in Chicago.nbsp; Married LeRoy (Lee) Krueger on October 27th 1956 at Sacred Heart Church in Chicago.nbsp; Dolores had three major goals in life, all of which she excelled at; to be the best wife, mother and grandma she could be.nbsp; Dolores enjoyed annual fishing trips to Canada for some 35 years; working crossword puzzles and doing needlepoint.nbsp; She enjoyed traveling with Lee, having visited the countries of Australia, Canada, Mexico and New Zealand.nbsp; Had been to all but eight states; with extensive vacations in Alaska and Hawaii.nbsp; She was an avid Bears, Bulls and Cubs fan. She volunteered for many years at the St. Joseph Home for the Elderly in Palatine, IL.nbsp; A most cherished moment of hers occurred while with other workers from St. Joseph was a trip to Rome.nbsp; She was able to touch the hand of Pope John Paul II, and was fortunate to have had a picture taken of the incident.nbsp; She and Lee moved to Rockford in 1990, and was a member of St. Rita Church.nbsp; Dolores will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.nbsp; Survived by her husband of 54 years, Lee, children, David (Debby Murray) of Rockford, Loralee (Mike) DeFrancisco of Belvidere, IL, Lynn (Steve) Hagedorn of Belvidere, IL, brother Lambert (Joann) of Foley, AL, sisters Evelyn Chojecki of Weston, FL, and Esther (Tony) Zenari of Chicago.nbsp; Grandchildren Erin, Jamie, Michael and Nicholas DeFrancisco; Lauren, Adam, Heather and Valerie Hagedorn and Eric Krueger; as well as a great many nieces and nephews.nbsp; Predeceased by her parents, brothers; Walter, Louis, Joseph, and Raymond; sisters, Florence, Jeanette and Lorraine.nbsp; Visitation on Wednesday, Dec. 29 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Visitation also on Thursday, Dec 30 at St. Rita Church in Rockford from 9 to 9:45 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. nbsp;Private burial service at Calvary Cemetery.
