Donna Lee Fanning

Donna Lee Fanning, 64 of Rockford died May 20, 2007 in River Bluff Nursing Home. Born the only daughter of Edde A. and Dolores M. (Johnson) Johnson in Rockford on September 27, 1942. She was a graduate of Hononegah High School and Northern Illinois University. Donna moved to Plano, TX before returning to Rockford for the last 8 years. She married William John Fanning on July 16, 1966 in St. Mary Catholic Church in Durand, IL. He predeceased her in 1993. She was an elementary school teacher in Chicago for a short time before retuning home to start her family. She is survived by her sons Jeffery and James Fanning of Texas, several cousins and Aunts and Uncles. She is predeceased by her parents, husband and several Aunts and Uncles. Funeral service will held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, May 26, 2007 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford with the Rev. Brian A. Olsen Officiating. Visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of service. Burial in Acacia Park Cemetery, Chicago. Memorials would be appreciated to the Poor Clare Corpus Christi Monastery, 211 S.
