Doris Ellen Welk

Doris Ellen Welk, 41, Rockford, was called home by her Lord, Saturday, September 25, 2010.nbsp; She was born October 30, 1968, in Sterling, the daughter of Reverend William and Diana (Braun) Welk. Doris was a 1990 graduate of Jefferson High School and the first class to hold graduation in the MetroCentre.nbsp; She is a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church where she also volunteered helping with church mailings.nbsp; Doris enjoyed camping, dancing, and playing the piano.nbsp; She loved God, her family, and her friends. Others will see because Doris was a cornea donor.

Survived by her parents, Reverend William and Diana Welk; brothers, Tim (Kathy) of Rockford and Andy (Cate) of Crystal Lake; her beloved niece and nephews, Ashley, Ryan, and Caleb; her uncle and aunt, Willard and Marion Hollinger. Special thanks to the caregivers and therapists at Milestone, OSF St. Anthony Medical Center, Van Matre Rehab Center, and Amberwood Care Centre.

Funeral service will be at 11:00am, Wednesday, September 29, 2010, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 3300 Rural St. Rockford, IL 61107 with Pastor Norwood Woody Knutson officiating. Privatenbsp; burial in Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery.nbsp; Visitation from 10:00am until 10:45am on Wednesday at the church.
