Edward Anthony Daeger, 64

Edward Anthony Daeger, 64, of Rockford, passed away June 2, 2016 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Born July 13, 1951 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Roland and Mary (Miller) Daeger. Ed and Randi met at St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas and married shortly after graduation in 1973. For 40 years together, they happily raised 5 children and cherished their time with their 6 grandchildren. During those years, he was a local business man, treasured his time with his family as well as the annual family vacation to Door County, Wisconsin. Ed was a doting husband and father, the epitome of a "Family Man".

Survived by his Wife, Randi (Simonovich); children, Christie (Parrish) Johnston, Emily Daeger, Andrew Daeger, Tim (Katie) Daeger, and Ann (Alvaro Fernandez) Daeger; grandchildren Ariana, Andrew, Aiden, Ruby, Eliza, Guinn and one on the way; mother, Mary Daeger; brothers and sister, Tom (Laurie) Daeger, Barb (Jeff) Tillman, Steve (Suzie) Daeger, Greg (Julie) Daeger; family members Sead (Zora) Krupalija, Damir (Naida) Krupalija, Jasna (Jim) Davis as well as many loved nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 11am in Rockford, IL at Holy Family Catholic Church, with Fr. William R. Wentink officiating.
