Elaine Mary Fritts, 79 Devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother nbsp; Elaine Mary Fritts, 79, of Rockford, died on Thursday, June 7, 2007 in her home. Born September 3, 1927 in Quincy, the daughter of George Adam and Margaret (Frankenhoff) Horbelt. Graduated as Valedictorian from Quincy Notre Dame High School and Valedictorian from Quincy College, where she received her Bachelors of Science in Education. On April 12, 1958 she married her loving husband James Dale Fritts in Quincy.nbsp; She worked as a teacher and was a faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Elaine was an active volunteer for numerous causes such as the Literacy Council and American Cancer Society. She was an avid artist with a joy for painting and loved to garden and research family history.nbsp; Survivors include her loving husband of 49 years James; her children, Marty (Tina) Fritts, Charlie (Jennifer) Fritts, Beth Fritts Roe, Helen Fritts and George (Sharon) Fritts; grandchildren Hannah and Haley Fritts, Winston and Henry Roe and sister, Norma Golnar and Family of Colorado. nbsp;Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church. Visitation will be held in church from 11:30 12:45 p.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers please make memorials to: Alzheimers Association 4777 E.
