Eleanor Fellers

Eleanor Fellers, 83, Rockford, passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2012. She was born in Rockford on April 23, 1929; the daughter of Alex and Bertha (Perone) Armato. Eleanor married William R. Fellers in January, 1960. She worked as a distribution clerk for the US Post Office until her retirement.

Eleanor is survived by her sons, Gary McGarvin and Michael Fellers; daughters, Karla (John) Steiermann, Paula (John) Baxa and Marie Fellers; brother, Sam (Sandy) Armato; sister, Mary Murphy; grandchildren, Kristen, Brian, Alex, Siobhan, Chad, Gavyn and Jaden; several nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; husband, William; brother, Martin Pep Armato; sister, Rose Sanches<.

Eleanor was a loving wife, mother, grandma and sister.
She was the heart of our family and the very best of all of us. We are who we are because of you mom.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 3910 N. Rockton Ave. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Illinois School for the Deaf 125 Webster Avenue Jacksonville, Illinois 62650.
