Eleanor S. Church, 103, of Rockford, passed away September 16, 2017 at Wesley Willow. Born October 20, 1913 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of William W. & Violet (Zieminski) Bagniewski. She married Fred William Church August 3, 1935 in Chicago. They moved to the Rockford area in 1957. She worked as a secretary for many years. She enjoyed cooking, especially her “Turkey and Santa Cookies”, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include sons Dr. Frederick “Fred” (Anita) Church, Jr. and Robert (Rhonda) Church; grandchildren Jenny (Doug) Dubrock, Caryn (Scott) Bayne, Barry (Brett) Peterson, William (Heidi) Peterson and Joseph church; several great grandchildren and aunt Florence. Predeceased by husband, Fred Church Sr.; daughter, Carole Peterson; son in law, Gerald (Carole) Peterson; daughter in law Rita Church and by parents, brothers and sister
