Eleanore P. Rinehart

Eleanore P. Rinehart, 88, of Rockford, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022.

She was born August 8, 1934, in Chicago, the daughter of Carl and Helene (Gerbig) Mittermeier. Eleanore graduated from Immaculate Conception Academy in Bettendorf, Iowa, class of 1951. She married Donald E. Rinehart on August 20, 1955, in Chicago. Eleanore worked for Rockford Memorial Hospital in the purchasing department for 20 years, and later as a receptionist for Nicolosi & Associates from 1999 until retiring. She was a longtime member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church where she was active with the Ladies of St. Bernadette and the Senior Association. Eleanore also helped create the church bulletins for many years. She enjoyed reading and knitting in her spare time. Family meant everything to Eleanore as she loved hosting several family vacations and renting homes for everyone to stay together on the ocean at Isle of Palms, South Carolina.

Those left to honor Eleanore’s memory includer her children, Cheryl (Tom) Brady, Gail (Arnie) Clark, Terri (Doug) Falk, Brad (Jennie) Rinehart, and Paul (Jen) Rinehart; grandchildren, Amy (Adam) Waltho, Kevin Brady, Laura (Patrick) Clark, Carolyn (Carl) Stanfield, Hillary (Mike) Miley, Andrew Clark, Kyle (Emma) Falk, Jenna (Bret) Massey, Ben Rinehart, Jessica Rinehart, Owen Rinehart and Grant Rinehart; great grandchildren, Michaela, Madelyn, Elijah, Ava, Rileanne, Amelia, Alexandra and Evelyn. She is predeceased by her parents; husband, Donald; son, Ken Rinehart; grandson, Steven Brady and brother, Richard Mittermeier.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 30, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, IL 61108 with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will conclude in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
