Elinor M. Goodwin Booher

Elinor M. Goodwin Booher, 95 of Rockford died Friday, October 14, 2016 at Presence Saint Anne Center. Born November 27, 1920 in Sheldon, IA the daughter of Frank and Cloetilda McClellan. On January 10, 1948 she married Harold H. “Hal” Goodwin who preceded her in death on 1998. Ellie remarried a longtime mutual friend, Craig Booher on March 19, 2011 and together they have shared many happy times. Elinor was a devout Catholic and was a member at Holy Family Catholic Church. Ellie will be missed dearly by her beloved family and many friends.
Survivors include her husband, Craig Booher of Rockford, children, John (Pam) Goodwin of Machensey Park, Sally (Steve) Fairchild of WI., Dennis (Joan) Goodwin of CO., Steve (Julie) Booher of MI., Robert (Peggy) Booher of MD., and a daughter by choice, Kathleen Andersen of Rockford; Grandchildren, Melissa, Kelly, Carly, Steve Jr., Sarah, Amy, Brian and Adam and 8 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Hal and brother, Howard McClellan. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Northern Illinois Hospice, her friends and many staff at Sienna especially her caregiver, A.J..
Funeral Mass Monday, October 17, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Presence Saint Anne Center Chapel, 4405 Highcrest Rd. In lieu of flowers please request a Mass in Ellie’s name.
