Elizabeth A. Betty Giglio, 68, Rockford, died at 2:15 a.m. Thursday, March 29, 2012 in Asta Care.nbsp; Born January 10, 1944 in Plattsmouth, NE, daughter of John W. and Margaret E. McDermott Burton.nbsp; She was an outstanding hair stylist all of her life.nbsp; During her career she won many competitions throughout the Midwest and many times Betty was the hairdresser that was called upon to style the hair of famous people that were in Rockford.nbsp; She was a devout Catholic who was an active member of the Cathedral of St. Peter.nbsp; She was a strong, independent woman who was very loving.
Survivors include her son, Don (Kristy) Giglio; grandchildren, Kellian Davis, Kyle Davis and Donny Giglio, Jr; brother, Jack (Elizabeth Hielkema) Burton; sisters, Mary L. Burton, Kathy (Steve) Koteski, Cindy (Gary Cellitti) Burton; numerous nieces, nephews,nbsp; great nieces and nephews.nbsp; Predeceased by her parents and brothers, Jim and Joe Burton.nbsp; Betty was much loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
Memorial Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 in the Cathedral of St. Peter with Rev. Jeremy Trowbridge officiating.nbsp; Visitation from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m.nbsp; In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.nbsp; Arrangements were completed by Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Riverside Chapel.
