Elmer Grodem

Elmer Moogie Grodem, 88, died in his home on February 9, 2012.
Born on August 10, 1923 in Norway, son of Taletta and Christian Grodem.
He immigrated to Rockford with his family at age 5.
Married Veronica Elsie Olszewski on August 19, 1967.
He was employed for many years by Arnold Lundgren amp; Associates as a land surveyor. Veteran of the U.S. Army.and a member of the Moose Club and the LLL Club.


Left to celebrate his life are his wife, Veronica Elsie; her children, Sheila Tondi and Aldo Tondi; 6 grandchildren and 9 greatgrandchildren; sisters, Ina Anderson and Irene Tuneberg; niece, Carol Hubbard and nephew, Gary Johnson.
He is predeceased by his parents.

Services
will be held at 11a.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2012 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with Rev. Joseph A. Warner officiating.
Visitation from 10 a.m. until time of the service.
Entombment in Sunset Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, 8800 North Alpine Road.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a memorial to be determined at a later date.nbsp;nbsp;
