Elmo Gentry, 75, Machesney Park, died at 5: 27 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 2010 in Rockford Memorial Hospital.nbsp; Born February 26, 1935 in Greenville, MO, son of Charlie R. and Willa G. Hicks Gentry. nbsp;Married Mary F. Gawf in Rockford on June 10, 1955.nbsp; Retired from Muller-Pinehurst Dairy after 30 years of employment.nbsp; Member of Silver Hill Penecostal Church, where he had been active in many capacities..nbsp; He had previously been Assistant Pastor of First United Penecostal Church.nbsp; Elmo was an easy-going, good man who loved to joke. He was easy to like and alwaysnbsp; had a happy attitude.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; children, Charlene (Harold) Adams, Rockford, Darlene (Joe) Hulbert, Roscoe, Kathy (Mark) Fuerst, Milwaukee and Tim (Stacie) Gentry, Machesney Park; grandchildren, Amanda, Joey, Amber, Dustin, Kayla, Darren, Devin, Abby and Meghan; 4 great- grandchildren; twin brother, Delmo (Myrtle) Gentry, Doniphan, MO, sister, Eva Miller, Heber Springs, AR,, brothers, Jerry (Delores) Gentry, Rockford, Larry (Janet) Gentry, Rockford, Tommy (Norma) Gentry, PA, and sisters, Linda (Jim) Cahill, Chicago and Sharon Greer, Rockford; numerous nieces and nephews.nbsp; Predeceased by his parents and brothers, Eugene and Leon Gentry.

Robert Bailey officiating.nbsp; Bnrial in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.nbsp; Visitation from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday in Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S.
