Ethan Stewart Erickson, 61, Rockford, died Wednesday, October 6, 2010, in his home. He was born September 13, 1949, in San Bernardino, CA, the son of Raymond and Marylin (Ross) Erickson. Ethan worked as an artist for Process Graphics for more than 15 years. He always astonished us with his creativity, humor and courage. Ethan charted his own course in life and will be remembered for his love and passion for art and music. He loved performing on stage with his brother, sister and friends in several bands throughout his life, such as Teenage Tarzan. He followed his path of discovery and as a result of his willingness to venture from the norm, grew into a true artist in every sense of the word. He was dearly loved by his family and friends. Ethan will be deeply missed for his humor and fun spirit. Survived by his wife and son, Shelley Erickson and Dash Erickson, Rockford, IL; brother, Peter (Pat) Erickson of Rockford; sisters, Zan (Dave) Pichionni, Loves Park and Nancy (John Dutmer) Erickson-Dutmer, Chetek, WI; mother, Marylin Erickson, Rockford, IL; many nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Tuesday, October 12, 2010, at Anderson Gardens Pavillion, 318 Spring Creek Road, Rockford, IL, with Ernie Stokes officiating.
