Eva V. Ochoa

Eva Ochoa, 84, of Rockford joined her Lord after an enduring struggle with cancer. She passed in her home surrounded by her loved ones, Sunday, September 2, 2018. She has left this life to join our Lord but her unwavering love will stay within our hearts.

Born in Crystal City, Texas on June 8, 1934, the daughter of Leopoldo and Manuela (Rodriguez) Villarreal. She married the love of her life, Margarito Ochoa, on August 16, 1954. Listening to music, dancing, watching baseball, and watching soccer were a few of her favorite hobbies. She retired from Warner Lambert. She was a lifetime member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. The family would like to give a special thanks to Heartland Hospice; also to Dr. Einhorn and his staff.

She is survived by her husband, Margarito; her three daughters, Delia (Jim) Bryant, Lucy (Dennis) Tureson and Victoria (Leandro) Garcia; grandchildren, James (Sarah) Bryant, Bobby (Carolyn) Bryant, Chad (Brittany) Bryant, Dennis Tureson Jr., Francesca (Nate) Lindesmith, Bianca, Julien and Shayla Garcia; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Ricardo Villarreal, Leo (Mavis) Villarreal, Carmen (Richard) Randerson, Olga Musso, Sally Rico, Dorothy Flores, Linda Rodriguez, Mary Marquez, Abel (Marcia) Villarreal, Diane (Juan) Guerrero. Predeceased by her parents, Leopoldo and Manuela, brothers, Pablo Villarreal and Rodolpho Villarreal, sister, Ofelia (Tepo) Sanchez, brother-in-law, Pasquale Musso, sister-in-law, Jeanna Villarreal and daughter, Manuela Ochoa.

Funeral mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 7, 2018 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 2400 Bell Avenue. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Road. Burial in Willwood Burial Park.
