Florence K. Stralow

Florence K. Stralow, 89Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Friend Florence K. Stralow, 89, Rockford, died at 5:40 p.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2009 in Provena Cor Mariae Center.  Born March 23, 1920 in Independence, WI, daughter of Frank A. and Victoria L. (Kowahl) Libowski.  Rockford resident since 1939.  Married William A. Stralow on June 27, 1942,  He died April 29, 2002.  Member of St. Patrick Catholic Church where she was a dedicated volunteer.  She was a former member of the Moose Club Auxilliary. Florence was an outstanding seamstress who had a drapery business for over 30 years.  She was an excellent cook and traveled extensively having visited every state and eleven foreign countries.  Survivors include her children, Paul (Diane) Stralow and James Stralow; grandchildren, Stephanie (Craig) Garwick, Matthew Stralow (Dianna), Heidi (James) Morgan and Amy Stralow.  Also survived by her great-grandchildren, Ashley Garwick, Brock Stralow, Treven Stralow and Sully Stralow; sister, Louise Burns and numerous nieces and nephews.  Also predeceased by her parents, brothers, Joseph and Paul and her sister Bernadine Gillis. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 28, 2009 in St. Patrick Catholic Church with Rev. Matthew T. Rudden officiating.  Entombment in Calvary Mausoleum.  Visitation from 2-4 p.m. Sunday in Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N.
