Frank J. Genovese, Sr. 85 of Rockford passed away Saturday, May 17, 2008 in Rockford Memorial Hospital with his loving family at his side. Born June 13, 1922 the youngest son of Innocenzo and Nicolina Ferro. He married Neva Sciacca of South Beloit in St. Peter Catholic Church in South Beloit on June 14, 1947. She predeceased him in 2003. Frank was employed as a machinist and night foreman at Anderson Brothers Manufacturing Company retiring after 37 years. He served in the United States Navy during WWII and was stationed on the U.S.S. Eaton in the South Pacific. Frank was a graduate of St. Anthony School class of 1937 and a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Frank enjoyed church, fishing with his wife, golfing, playing cards and purchasing his daily lottery tickets from the ladies at the Rockton Ave. Logli. This quiet, caring gentle man, who was loved dearly by his family will be greatly missed by his family, and by all who knew him.   He is survived by his daughter Veronica Genovese of Rockford and son Frank Joseph (Christine) Genovese, Jr. of Mukwonago, WI. Grandchildren Jeff Genovese of Milwaukee, Susan Genovese of Mukwonago and best friend and first cousin Annette Messina of Rockford. He is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his parents, wife, sister Veronica and brothers Joe, Tony, Mike and Vito.   The family would like to extend our gratitude to the Doctors, nurses and staff at Rockford Memorial Hospital for their excellent care of our loved one, especially to Dr. Leonid Raskin, hospitalist and his primary physician Dr. Sheldon Weiss. The family would also like to thank all who cared for our loved one at Wesley Willows Rehab Unit.     Funeral Service will be Thursday, May 22, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave. with the Rev. Dr. William R. Kerr officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. in the funeral home and Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Interment to follow in Floral Lawn Cemetery, South Beloit. Memorials can be made to the family. To
