Frank L. Ciaccio, 89, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at O.S.F. St. Anthony Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.nbsp; Born on February 8, 1923 in Rockford, Illinois, the son of Salvatore and Lena (Sagona) Ciaccio.nbsp; He married Ellen Vitell on May 20, 1944 in Winnebago, Illinois.nbsp; Ellen passed away in 2004.nbsp; Employed by Sundstrand Corp. for 34 years, retiring in 1985.nbsp; He enjoyed gardening, reading and carpentry.

Survived by his children, Frances Ciaccio, Lawrence (Carolyn) Ciaccio, Catherine Ciaccio, Charlotte (David) Pearce; grandchildren, Jeffrey Ciaccio, Michelle (Kevin) Chatfield, Nicholas (Shannon) Ciaccio, Michael Ciaccio, Justin Pearce; great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Jordan, Nathen Ciaccio, Noah, Kade, Cameron Chatfield; brothers, Alex and Michael J. Ciaccio, nieces, nephews, cousins, special friend, Doris Carlini and many friends.

Predeceased also by parents, sister Vita Carone, brother, Thomas Ciaccio and great grandson, Brandon Ciaccio.

Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with the Franciscan Friars officiating.nbsp; Visitation from 5:007:00 p.m. Tuesday in Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with a Prayer Service at 6:30 p.m.nbsp; Visitation also from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. Wednesday at the church.nbsp; Private interment in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established at a later date.nbsp;
