Frankie Hill, of Rockford, passed away at 7:15 pm, on Saturday April 14, 2007, at home of lung cancer surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 3, 1948, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, the son of Wille and Faye (Beard) Hill. Frankie moved to Rockford, IL, in 1968, from Alabama and met Linda K. Ergle, they married in Tuscaloosa, AL. on December 3, 1970. Frankie worked at Elco Textron from 1977 until his retirement in 2004 due to health problems. Survivors include his loving wife of 36 years, Linda, children James (Liz) Hill of Rockford, Tina (Donny) Jarvis of Machesney Park, and Joey (Jessica) Hill of Rockford, grandchildren Adam, nbsp;Kyle, Rose, Angel and Dillion, sisters Maddie Hill and Anita Faye Hill of Tuscaloosa AL, and brother Alonzo Hill of Tuscaloos, AL, numerous nieces and nephews, nbsp;and his dog Sweat Pea. Predeceased by his parents, brothers Peewee, Leroy, and Oscar, and sister Bernice. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday April 18, 2007, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with Jim Ergle officiating. Burial innbsp; North Burritt Township Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM, Tuesday, April 17, 2007, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Family. The family would like to express a special thank you to Northern Illinois Hospice for their compassionate care for Frankie.
