George P. Warner

George P. Warner, 81, of Rockford passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2013 in his home. Born September 9, 1931 in Bisbee, Arizona to George A. and Anniedee L. (Price) Warner. He was in the United States Coast Guard serving in the Korean Conflict. George graduated from the University of New Mexico with a B. S. in Mechanical Engineering. He married Sonia Cronin on September 22, 1961 in Milwaukee WI. George worked as a mechanical engineer at Sun Tec and Sundstrand for many years. He loved golf and enjoyed volunteering at Swedish American Hospital. Survived by his children, Erin (Bruce) Harris, Kelly (Roger) Barnard and Shawn (Jody) Warner; grandchildren, Caitlin and Melanie Harris and Kayla, Luke, Emily and Rebecca Warner and sister, Lila Mae Warner. Predeceased by his parents and wife, Sonia in 1995. Per George's wishes, there will not be any services held at this time.
