Georgia Caccia

Georgia F. Caccia 97 of Rockford passed away Saturday April 9, 2016 at OSF St Anthony Medical Center. She was born February 22, 1919 in Clinton, IA, the daughter of Owen and Elizabeth McDonnell. She married Harold Caccia on May 1, 1948 in St. James Church in Rockford. She started working in California for the US Government. She then went on to work at National Lock for 13 years. Member of St Patrick Church and Verdi Club Auxiliary. To Georgia, her family and her faith were her life.
Survivors include her four children, Michael (Joanne) Caccia, Dan (Patricia) Caccia, Tom (Theresa) Caccia and Anne (Gordon) Wenziker. Grandchildren, Jim (Jill), Tony (Stephanie), Elizabeth (Tom), Valerie, Whitney (Cory), Zachary (Wendy), Danny, Ashley (Paul), Alex Wenziker, Shannon Wenziker and Becca. 13 Great grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Husband Harold. Five sisters, Eleanor Uhr, Vivian Ryberg, Florence Cragan, Mae Sprigler and June McDonnell. Two brothers, Ambrose and Owen McDonnell.
Funeral Mass at 10am Wednesday April 13, 2016 at St. Bernadette Church with her nephew Father Bill Sprigler officiating. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
