Geraldine R. Methot

Geraldine R. Methot, 79, of Rockford passed away Monday, November 23, 2009. Born November 3, 1930 in Munising, MI, the daughter of Samuel James and Hazel Belle (Elya) Revord, she graduated from Munising High School. She married Velbert Methot on September 18, 1948 in Munising, MI before they moved to Rockford in 1952. Geraldine loved shopping for others, caring for stray animals, holidays and decorations and eating out but most of all loved her family. She was a kind person who enjoyed giving more than receiving.

Survivors include her husband Velbert, daughter Brenda (David Rhoades) Walker, granddaughter JaMecca Russell, grandson Brenton Walker, three sisters, one brother and a large extended family. She is predeceased by her parents, granddaughter MaLocka L. Gille, one sister and one brother.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date in Munising, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family to be established at a later date.
