Giuseppa "Josephine" Ocello

Giuseppa “Josephine” Ocello, 82, of Rockford, passed away August 3, 2018 in Belvidere. Born June 29, 1936 in Burgio, Sicily; she was the daughter of Antonio and Giuseppa (Radosta) Fiumarella. She married Salvatore Ocello on January 19, 1957 in Sicily.
Josephine was a member of St. Rita Catholic church.
She enjoyed spending her time sewing and taking care of her family.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Salvatore Ocello; son, Joe (Francesca) Ocello; daughter, Maria (Greg) Kostantacos; grandchildren, Elizabeth Grisanzio, Alessandria Grisanzio, Giuseppina Ocello, Peter Kostantacos, Salvatore Ocello and Michael Ocello; great-granchild, Eli Murphy; siblings, Antonio (Rosa) Fiumarella of Sicily, Filomena (Peter) Gulotta of Rockford and Angelo (Paula) Fiumarella of Sicily; and numerous nieces and nephews in Sicily and the U.S.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at St. Rita Catholic Church, 6254 Valley Knoll Drive, Rockford. Visitation from 4 until 7 p.m. Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford.
