Gladys "Gaye" J. Rourke

Gladys Jane Rourke, 83, of Rockford, Illinois, formally of Warren, Michigan, passed away on June 2, 2023. She was born on January 18, 1940, in Moween, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Matthew and Helen Catherine (Miloser) Hrabosky. She graduated from Highland Park High School, class of 1957. Gladys married the love of her life, Patrick, on May 26, 1962, in Warren, Michigan. She worked as an administrative assistant for General Dynamics. Gladys enjoyed gambling, playing cards, and playing Words with Friends with people all over the U.S. She took joy in gardening, traveling, eating, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Patrick; children, Timothy (Barb) Rourke, Susan (Jerry) House, and Kristen Rourke; grandchildren, Janice (Michael) Smith, Sean Rourke, Jacklyn House, and Jake House; great grandchildren, Airayla, Grayson, and Zoe Smith; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; close friends, Nee (Eunice) Abloh, Dan (Letty) Webb, Paul (Kathy) Camacho, John (Sue) Buzzard, Andy (Frankie) Larson, Lou (Joan) Graceffa, and Dan (Sheryl) Galvez. She is predeceased by her parents, Matthew and Helen; and brothers, Robert, Matthew, and Edward Hrabosky.

Memorial service will be held on Monday, August 14, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Oakwood Memorial Mausoleum, 5950 Gratiot Road, Saginaw, MI 48638. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Rockford Rescue Mission or the Salvation Army.
