Gloria Lawson

Gloria G. Lawson, 80, Rockford, Passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2012. She was born in Rockford on March 19, 1932; the daughter of Harry and Inez Hudson. Gloria married Donald Lawson on June 10, 1949. She worked for the family business, Nathan Lawson and Sons. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Gloria enjoyed quilting, gardening, antiquing and going to garage sales.

Gloria is survived by her daughters, Lynne (Kris) Jones and Gwen Hammer (special friend Gary), of Antelope, CA; brothers, Delbert Hudson of Rockford and Jack Hudson, of California; sister, Elaine Hudson of Rockford; grandchildren, Eric Jones, Adam Jones nbsp;and Tracey Jones and Nathan and Nichole Lawson; special great grandchildren, Allissa K. Jones and Samantha M. Estes; brotherinlaw, Bob Garthwaite of Washington State and numerous greatgrandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; husband, Donald N; son, James N. Lawson; sisters, Jeanette Garhtwaite and Dorothy Garrison and an infant brother.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave. with Reverend Frances Olson officiating.
