Grace Ann Stupka

Grace Ann Stupka, 80, of Rockford, passed away Monday, December 4,2017 in her home. She was bom July 25,1937 in La Crosse, Wl, the daughter of Orace and Dorothy (Gamroth) Rogers. She was happily married to the love of her life, Rollin Stupka, on June 9,1956. Grace raised two adventurous sons and worked as a substitute cook at White Swan. Grace was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church.
Grace was a very generous person and a devoted mom. Fondest family memories include summer vacations in northern Wisconsin, traveling to watch her sons race during motocross season, weekend snowmobiling trips and, later in life, hosting her family and friends at her cabin in southern Wisconsin. Grace also enjoyed tending to her garden bed and watching her yard flourish with birds and butterflies during Midwest summers. She will be warmly remembered by her children, grandchildren, great¬grandchildren, brother, nieces, nephews, and her dear friend, Mary Stanton.
She is survived by her sons, Mike (Jeannie) Stupka and Randy (Terry) Stupka; grandchildren Kari (Mike) Piwoni, Kristin (Gary) Conrad, Erin (Piotr) Bychowski, Kevin (Ashley) Stupka and Marcus Cain; great grandchildren Arya and Juliet Piwoni and Lucas Stupka; brother Bob Rogers, and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Orace and Dorothy Rogers, husband Rollin Stupka, and brother Jim Rogers.
Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, December 11, 2017 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford, IL 61108. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Monday, December 11,2017 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel.
