Grace G. Feehan

Grace G. Feehan, 81, a resident of Rockford for 37 years, went to be with the Lord on May 2, 2008 at St. Anne Center surrounded by her family.  Grace was born December 4, 1926 in Philadelphia, PA the daughter of Edmund and Mary (Pearson) Gordon.    Grace graduated from Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls in Philadelphia in 1944.  She married John R. Feehan on November 29, 1947 in Philadelphia, beginning a 54 year journey taking their family from the city to the farm, the suburbs, the beach, finally settling in Rockford in 1971. Grace was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the Cabbage Patch Ladies, where she served monthly senior lunches. Grace loved bowling and especially cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.   Grace is survived by her eleven children, Tim (Cathy) Feehan of Rockford, Jeri (Tom) Otahal of Alburque, NM, John (Deb) Feehan of Elgin, Larry (RaeAnn) Feehan of Loves Park, Peter (Ann) Feehan of Arlington Heights, Nancy (Gale) Hobart of Rockford, Grace (Tim) Bratt of Dixon, Chris (Barb) Feehan of Machesney Park, Paul (Theresa) Feehan of Roscoe, Jeff (Ellen) Feehan of Rockford and Tony (Tiffany) Feehan of Rockford; 42 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  Grace was predeceased by her parents, her husband, John R. Feehan (July 8, 2002 her three brothers, Joseph, Edmund and Richard and her four sisters, Mary, Helen, Jean and Catherine.   A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at 10 am at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4401 Highcrest Road with Rev. Andrew C. Hougan officiating followed by entombment in Calvary Mausoleum.  Visitation will be held on Monday, May 5, 2008 from 4 8 pm with a rosary service at 7 pm at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. and on Tuesday from 9 9:45 am at the church.  Memorial donations may be made to Provena St. Anne Center, 4405 Highcrest Road, Rockford, IL 61107, American Diabetes Association, 30 N.
