Hal Look

Hal Look, 79, of Rockford, died peacefully in his home after a courageous battle with cancer, on Tuesday, July 14, 2015. Born in Arcata, CA, on May 15, 1936; to parents B. Franklin & Reva Look. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from San Jose State University, and earned his Master's Degree in Business Management, with Honors, from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, in Troy, NY. He married Judith Gleason on November 28, 1964. Hal spent many years working abroad in construction management. He is survived by his wife, Judy; sister-in-law, Barbara Taylor; niece, Krista Wilkowske; nephews, Eric (Tien) Wilkowske and Kurt (Maureen) Wilkowske; and special friends, Ninette Cooney, Sam and Louise Basile, and “granddaughters”, Emily and Patricia Basile. Memorial donations can be sent in Hal’s memory to Northern Illinois Hospice Association, St. Anthony's Cancer Center, or to the Boy Scouts of America. A private family service will be held for Hal at a later date.
