Harry Philip Milani

Harry “Babe” Milani 86 of Rockton passed away Friday, August 23, 2013 in Swedish American Hospital after a short illness. He was born April 3, 1927 in Rockford, IL, the son of Enrico and Mary Milani. He attended St. James School class of 1941 and St. Thomas High School, class of 1945. He served in the Army from 1945 – 1947 and was stationed in Northern France. He married Mary Lorden on April 23, 1965 in Rockford. He worked for 40 years at Cacciatores. He was a member of the Cathedral of St. Peter and also a member of the Verdi Club. He enjoyed golf and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife Mary. Children: Michael (Lisa) Milani, Patrick (Ann) Milani, Tim (Michelle) Milani and Colleen (Daniel) Rest. Grandchildren: Renata, Elaina, Catherine, Olivia, Margaret, Henry, Margot and Michael. Predeceased by his parents and siblings, Ralph Milani, Josephine Minella and Catherine DeMolli. Mass of Christian Burial at 11am Thursday, August 29, 2013 in the Cathedral of St. Peter Church with Father Carl Beekman officiating. Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation from 5pm until 8pm Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home 3910 N. Rockton Ave with rosary at 8pm. Visitation also from 10am until 10:45am Thursday in the church.
