Harvey O. Weisse

Harvey O. Weisse, 79, Rockford, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017, at River Bluff Nursing Home. He was born June 28, 1937, in Plymouth, WI, the son of Harvey J. and Julia A. (Schlicting) Weisse. Harvey received his Bachelors’ degree from Lakeland College in Sheboygan, WI. He was a veteran serving in the Air Force. He married Janine Terrill in Green Lake, WI on November 11, 1978. Harvey worked at Ebco in Sheboygan during the late 70’s and early 80’s. He then worked in Mississippi for 4 years and later at Levy Barrett in Chicago. He retired from Liberty Fasteners. He attended New Life Bible Church. Harvey enjoyed woodworking, gardening, was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and a Lionel train collector. Harvey worked as a chief mechanic at the Indi 500 in 1974, and was very proud of his 1966 Chevelle Super Sport.
Survived by his loving wife, Janine; his daughters, Christine (Elijah) Docker of Wichita Falls, TX and Jamie (Derek Carr) Weisse of Rockford; his 14 month old granddaughter, Lacey Amber Carr Weisse and Emily Janine Docker, due in October; his step-children, William Radloff and his children, David, Danielle, and Travis; Dean Radloff and his children, Tyler Justin “T.J.” and Trista; and Theresa Radloff (Mayer).
Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 10, 2017, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave. with Reverend Tim Spickler officiating. Burial in Sheboygan Falls Cemetery in Kohler, WI. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until time of service at the funeral home on Saturday.
