Helen C. Rosella

Born to Joseph and Georgianne (Hybl) Jordan on January 26, 1919, in Beloit, WI. Helen was reborn into eternity July 31, 2011. Married Anthony Rosella April 6, 1940, in St James Catholic Church of which she was a member for over 80 years.
Her greatest joy was being a mother to her three children and caring for them. She was an advocate, counselor and dear friend to many and will never be forgotten. She was an avid reader, crossword puzzle and crytoquote fan. Spending time with family and many good friends brought her much pleasure.
Survivors include her beloved sons, Thomas (Suzanne) Phoenix, AZ, Steven (Joyce) Rosella Rockford; her much loved grandchildren, nbsp;Andrea Rosella of West Des Moines, IA, Brian (Melissa) Rosella of Phoenix, AZ, Joseph (Christine) Schrom of Bolingbrook, Steven Schrom of Hartford, CT, Jodi, Kelsi, and Tony Rosella all of Rockford; great grandchildren, Zea, nbsp;Zara, Jordan, MacKenzie, Molly, Logan, and Cameron, each were a source of much joy and hope for the future. Helen had many special caring nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved and some of the best friends one could ever hope for.
Helen was predeceased in death by parents, husband, Anthony, precious daughter, Joanne Marie Schrom, sisters, Agnes Dobson, Millie Correnti and Betty Blaser, brother Joe (Todd) Jordan. The family would like to thank the many local health care professionals who helped mom along her journey especially Drs. Moore and Hayes.
Funeral Mass will be 9:30 am, Wednesday, August 3, 2011, at St. James Catholic Church, 428 N. Second St. with Rev. Dean Russell and Rev. David Beauvais concelebrating.nbsp; Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitationnbsp; from 4:30 pm until 7:30 pm Tuesday, August 2, 2011, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Av.
In keeping with Helens wishes in lieu of flowers, spiritual bouquets will be much appreciated. Memorials may be sent to St. James Catholic Church in her name. She contributed to Rockford Rescue Mission and the Salvation Army on a regular basis.
